ABOUT US

Willow Springs Books is a literary press housed in Eastern Washington University’s Inland Northwest Center for Writers in Spokane, Washington. Under the direction of poet Jonathan Johnson, students have the opportunity to engage with all aspects of the publishing process, including reading manuscripts, design, marketing, and editing. Willow Springs Books cares deeply about the literary community and building relationships with other small presses, as well as collaborating with local bookstores and regional universities.

Each year, we publish one collection of fiction, selected from our Spokane Short Fiction Prize, as well as a poetry chapbook. Our newest contest is the Emma Howell Rising Poets Prize, honoring writers under 35 years old.

With 12 titles so far, this series provides an excellent chance to educate students on the ways in which French Surrealist techniques are enacted by contemporary authors.

♦ Group discounts on individual titles and our surrealist series package

♦ Free shipping when ordered directly through our website
