Willow Springs Books is excited to announce the winner of the 2015 Spokane Prize for Short Fiction, judged by Sharma Shields: Glori Simmons for her collection, Suffering Fools!

Glori Simmons attended the University of Washington and received her MFA from the University of Michigan.  Her book of poems, Graft,  was published by Truman State University Press.  Her poem “Hand Mit Ringen” won the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award in 2001 alongside Angie Estes and she was a Stegner Fellow in 2003.  Glori currently is the Director of the Thacher Gallery, a public art gallery in the University of San Francisco’s Gleeson Library|Geschke Center.
