Willow Springs Books is excited to announce the winner of the 2016 Spokane Prize for Short Fiction, judged by Alexis Smith: Jaclyn Watterson for her collection, Ventriloquisms!

Jaclyn Watterson received her PhD from the University of Utah, her MFA from Oregon State University, and her bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut State University. Her work has appeared in North Dakota Quarterly, Puerto del Sol, Loose Change, Paragraphiti, Birkensnake, The Collagist, Western Humanities Review, Yalobusha Review, and many other journals. She teaches writing at Georgia Gwinnett College and lives in Atlanta. Additionally, she is left-handed, vegetarian, and of choleric temperament.
